EcoBoost, 375-horsepower EcoBoost, 395-horsepower V8, 450-horsepower turbo V6
or the 250-horsepower turbodiesel. With the base engine, you can expect 19/25
mpg, while the smaller EcoBoost engine provides 20/26 mpg. On either the large
EcoBoost or the V8 engine, you are looking at 17/23 mpg instead.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado comes standard with a
285-horsepower V6, but there is also a 310-horsepower turbo-four,
277-horsepower inline-six turbodiesel, 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 and
420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8. The base engine receives a rating of 23/33 mpg,
while the diesel produces 23/29 mpg.
2020 Ford Raptor vs. Silverado Z71: Off-Road Comparison

EcoBoost V6 will handle up to 9,000 pounds. If you choose the 3.5L EcoBoost
H.O. V6, you can expect up to 11,100 pounds of towing power, while both the
5.0L Ti-VCT V8 and the 3.0L Turbo-Diesel V6 tow a maximum of 11,500 pounds. To
get the most towing capability, you want an F-150 equipped with the 3.5L
EcoBoost V6.
On the other hand, the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado can tow up to 13,400
pounds. The 2.7L Turbo (L3B) engine handles up to 6,800 pounds, while the 4.3L
V6 (LV3) will tow 7,700 pounds. The 5.3L V8 (L82) tows up to 11,000 pounds and
the 5.3L V8 w/DFM (L84) handles up to 11,600 pounds. If you want the most
towing capacity out of this truck, you will need the 6.2L V8 w/DFM (L87)
combined with 20-inch wheels and the Max Trailering package.

3.3L Ti-VCT V6 will handle 1,990 pounds. The 3.0L Turbo-Diesel V6 can hold
2,020 pounds and a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 has enough power to carry up to 2,470
pounds. At the higher end of the spectrum, you see that the 3.5L EcoBoost V6
hauls 3,230 pounds and the 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 carries the most at 3,270 pounds.

F-150 the Good rating in all six crashworthiness tests. In addition, the NHTSA gave it a
perfect five-star rating. The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado only features a
four-star rating from the NHTSA. Furthermore, the
2019 Chevy Silverado didn’t do as well with the IIHS ratings.

The 2020 Ford F-150 is still
the king and continues to hold a strong claim to the throne. The Silverado has
a nice interior and a comparable towing capacity, but it’s just not the same as
the F-150. Truck lovers know and truck lovers have spoken. In 2019, Ford has
sold over 660,000 Ford F-150 units while Chevrolet managed to sell just over
400,000 Chevy Silverado units. The Chevy Silverado held the 2nd position
in 2018 but fell to 3rd in 2019 being overtaken by the Dodge
Ram (over 460,000 units). For over 40 years, the F-150 has been the
